Finding the middle ground in a sport is a necessity. On-track rivalries and banters are common occurrences across the whole gamut of sports. But the real sportsmanship lies in the fact that grudges are forgotten and hands are shaken as a form of truce. And the incident is forgotten and forgiven. Following the same ideology, it seems Ross Chastain and Noah Gragson have decided to forget the bitter past and look forward to the sunnier side.
Ross Chastain agrees that he laughs about the incident
The Trackhouse Racing driver, who was again embroiled in a fistfight with his fellow driver, has, however, called for a truce. And this was apparent when he appeared in the Pat McAfee Show.

In the show, the co-host, A.J. Hawk, asked the No. 1 driver about the recent fight between him and Legacy Motor Club driver.
Hawk enquired, “I mean, obviously, you have been successful for a long time, for a while on the track. But now all this newfound fame, all this newfound attention, what it’s like man? Are you and Noah, you guys alright? First off, how’s that situation?”
To this Ross Chastain explained, “We are [alright] man, Noah and I, we have known each other for several years. And we trained together, prepare together, and we have been in separate series for a little bit, and now we are both in Cup Series. Exactly where we want to be.”
The Trackhouse Racing driver added, “So we are both trying to prove ourselves. Both trying to get where we want to be. And staying here in the Cup Series is not easy. There are only 36 seats.”

While speaking about the relationship status between him and Noah, Ross Chastain affirmed, “So we are good and talked on Monday on the phone. And then we were together testing some micro-sprint cars on Monday night. We worked out together this week. It’s good, done and over with, and we have been able to move on and laugh about it now.” He also added humorously, “Weren’t exactly laughing on Sunday.”

It may look peaceful now. But it was surely not peaceful on Sunday, in Kansas Speedway. The two drivers were caught on camera in a fistfight. Although it was Noah who started the fight by grabbing Ross by his driving suit. But, losing his composure, Ross clocked in a punch on his face. The bystanders on the grid had to intervene to stop the fight.
However, the interview with McAfee garnered a lot of fan responses.
One fan asked, “I wanna know how he landed “a solid punch” but yet Noah has not a scratch or mark on his face? And this dude is a gimmick. Not the best driver at all, just someone who likes to run into people and then apologize.”
“I wonder if @PatMcAfeeShow has seen the hail melon at all now, incredible video”
Another fan commented, “This is awesome. We finally have someone willing to throw it all on the line on and off the track. Superstar right there.”

Another humorously added, “Awesome that you Got Ross the Boss on the show The Watermelon Man is the greatest thing to happen to NASCAR in a long while. The perfect timing for him to be at the top of the sport driving aggressive and taking no prisoners like the old school drivers!.”

It is now to look forward to whether these two drivers go back to their old days and exchange smiles on the track and also whether they have learned their lessons the hard way.
