Trackhouse Racing is on a roll. The Justin Marks-owned team has been announcing its sponsors for the upcoming season in the past few weeks. In a recent development, the team unveiled Ross Chastain in the iconic Busch Light fire suit following the partnership announcement with Anheuser-Busch last year. The Nashville native has succeeded in luring one of the most influential sponsors in NASCAR following Kevin Harvick‘s retirement, and he loves it.

Following the public release of Ross Chastain’s first look in the blue and white Busch Light fire suit, he was handed a can of beer during a break at the promotional video shoot. Revealing a scene from the shoot, Trackhouse Racing’s Twitter handle has tweeted a video where the #1 Chevrolet driver and his beer are an inseparable duo.

The Melon Man is one of the most active drivers when interacting with fans and sponsors for promotional events, fan service, and more. As a result, his popularity within the fanbase has grown by leaps and bounds. An aggressive style, combined with an iconic watermelon-smashing celebration, has been a perfect addition to his character as a driver.

As for his new primary sponsor, Anheuser-Busch, it has capitalized on the growing fame of Ross Chastain to strike a deal at the right time. The agreement has benefitted both parties and from the looks of it, Chastain is enjoying it. As of January 18, Anheuser-Busch has a net worth of $127.36 billion, which has increased by 4.56% since last year.

One of the primary reasons for that is its product and the most prominent feature on Ross Chastain’s fire suit, Busch Light. At the promotional shoot, the 30-year-old was informed that he had to change poses for the camera. However, with a can of Busch Light beer in his hand, he was unwilling to do so. Chastain said, “You can’t give me a beer and take it halfway.”

Further, as he is asked to pose for a side profile with the sponsor’s logo, he replies, “Hardest thing I’ve had to do all day I swear,” as he takes sips from the can of beer. One of the voices in the background claimed to allow Ross Chastain his sweet time, “He loves his beer, guys.”

The partnership between Anheuser-Busch and Chastain is undoubtedly off to a good start. With Chastain liking his beer, he will look forward to winning races with Busch Light by his side and celebrating the success with some sponsorship perks. With his racing season kicking off with a return to short-track racing, the 2022 championship runner-up wants to begin with a bang.

“We’ve taken our offseason. I’ve been down at the farm in South Florida where my family is at. I’m ready to race something, added Chastain.

On Saturday, he will race the Rackley WAR #25 in the Protect Your Melon-Buckle Up event at Crisp Motorsports Park. Competing in the Pro Late Model division for the first time in over a decade, there is a particular challenge to the task at hand. But Ross Chastain is ready for it.

“I haven’t been in a [Pro] Late Model since before I got to the Truck Series in 2011. I’m going to have a lot to learn. I’m not going to be able to make it there early to test. All I’ve been able to sit in the car at the Rackley shop outside of Nashville. I’m going to have a lot to learn, but nobody’s going to be smiling more than me, though.” said Chastain.

After a disappointing elimination in the 2023 playoffs, Ross Chastain recovered from his poor run in style. Making history, he became the first non-championship driver to win the season finale at Phoenix. With the last NASCAR race ending up in a win for him, a victory on Saturday could be something he can bank on as the Clash at the Coliseum gets closer.
