In the high-stakes world of NASCAR, sponsorships are the meat and potatoes of finance, just as essential as having ace drivers behind the wheel. Every now and then, sponsors hit the jackpot, putting their money on a thoroughbred they believe is worth the gamble. Case in point: when Kevin Harvick dropped the bombshell about his retirement post-2023, his staggering $96 billion sponsorship cavalry Bud Light rallied behind Ross Chastain, heralding their support for the 2024 season.

Now, yet again, Trackhouse Racing has struck gold, extending the deal with the illustrious “Jockey.” The inside scoop was dished out on Trackhouse Racing’s Instagram and trumpeted by the jockey on Twitter through a hilarious video. And keeping score, Ross Chastain has truly been the golden goose in the sponsorship arena this year.

Trackhouse Racing has disclosed that it has extended its contract with Jockey International, Inc. through the 2025 campaign, one day ahead of National Underwear Day.

Since the 2022 Cup season, when the clothing brand entered NASCAR with a multi-year partnership, the multibillion-dollar firm has been linked to Trackhouse Racing. And now, in accordance with the press release, the sportswear brand has maintained Ross Chastain and Daniel Suarez as its main partners while also extending its collaboration with the team. In the previous two seasons, Chastain finished second with Jockey on the No. 1 Chevrolet at Atlanta and Dover. At Road America last year, Suarez finished in sixth place.

However, the news was announced in a lighthearted way with a video that featured Ross Chastain, Daniel Suarez, and Justin Marks, the owner of Trackhouse Racing. The three of them were seen in the meeting, and Marks was shown telling Ross Chastain about the prolongation of the Jockey sponsorship. At the conclusion of the video, the two Trackhouse Racing drivers get up and declare, “We are fully behind Jockey,” showcasing that they are only dressed in Jockey underpants. To this, an embarrassed Justin Marks responds, “I am glad we could keep this brief. We are going to revisit the dress code.”

Tom Hutchison, VP-Marketing for Jockey, also shared his excitement about collaboration: “When we first met with Trackhouse Racing, we were immediately drawn to their energy, passion, and desire to succeed. They wanted to break the mold for how a racing team operated and engaged with fans, and that vision was contagious—we were in. […] We are super excited about growing this partnership.”

However, Jockey is not the only sponsor that believes in Ross Chastain’s potential as a NASCAR driver.

Anheuser-Busch rolled the dice on Chastain to fly their flag, who in 2022, knocked it out of the park by clinching a close second in the points standings. Last season, playing second fiddle to Joey Logano, Chastain narrowly missed the championship crown.

In fact, even in the current season, Chastain has already bolted his place in the playoffs by winning in Nashville.

Perhaps this impressive track record paved the way for the heavyweight sponsorship from Anheuser-Busch. Moreover, Chastain’s constant media presence, celebrating both his triumphs and his no-nonsense demeanor, might just be the cherry on top that convinced brands like Jockey and Anheuser-Busch to keep him in their corner.
