“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances” These eternal lines by William Shakespeare have remained pertinent throughout the ages and continue to do so even today. The profound lines reiterate how ephemeral lives are and are fleeting away continually. While the lines are surely grandiose in nature, it surely echoes the heart-wrenching truth of every living being.
A bitter truth that everyone must encounter, and one such tragedy befell Tony Stewart and his racing team. Owing to this fact, people across the world, transcending the political boundaries, seem to pour their heartfelt condolences.

The adage ‘Speeding Kills’ has always been at the core of traffic safety. However, it is this thrill of speed that has propelled the motorsports fraternity to attract enthusiasts of all ages and countries. The world of motorsports partially if not completely hinges on the notion of speed. Moreover, these races are conducted under strict supervision with the employment of state-of-art medical facilities, if things go awry.
However, this notion can easily turn out to be cataclysmic in nature, and the 18th of August bore testament to one such fatal incident.
The incident took away the precious life of a young soul and a promising racer, Ashlea Albertson. The young driver who drove Tony Stewart Racing’s No.4 TQ Midgets Series car was met with a harrowing accident that claimed her life.
The incident occurred when Albertson’s car, which was being driven by Jacob Kelly, allegedly lost control and collided with another car. This resulted in Albertson sustaining heavy injuries and finally succumbing to them.
Owing to the incident, Albertson’s team owner Tony Stewart posted on Instagram to pour his condolences and mourn the loss of his teammate.
He wrote, “Today, I lost a teammate. @ashdog_racing had an infectious personality and could light up any room. She was a great race car driver that was involved in a road rage accident and lost her life. In the past, I’ve also gotten caught up in road rage. I hope that we can honor Ashlea by controlling what we can control on the highway. Losing her is a sobering reminder of how precious life is. Please join me in keeping her family and friends in your prayers.”
Albertson’s grieving father addressed his daughter’s loving fans. He expressed, “She just loved racing, she loved the community and you all have done so much for her. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. Please keep my family, her fiancé, and everybody who is going through this time in your thoughts and prayers.”
