Obviously, it is a big deal for Kyle Larson to switch from driving stock cars to riding Indy cars, even if it is just for one race. A lot of time and practice will go into it. Not to mention the anticipation of the fans. However, nothing is keeping Larson from fulfilling his long-awaited dream.

In an interview with NBC Sports, Larson admitted, “It’s been something I’ve wanted to do for a while. I just wanted to wait till the timing was right. I feel like the time is right now to do it”

Considering his reputation, the #9 Chevy star would definitely not jump into an endeavor without optimally preparing himself for it. Finally, he feels like it is time, and next year he will race in an Indy car. He smiled and said, “You kind of live out a dream of mine, my dad’s, Jeff Gordon’s…even Rick Hendrick’s.”

“I know how difficult it is… I try to keep expectations realistic. I obviously want to do a good job. Just excited and a little bit nervous…” he said while revealing what he expected from the race.
