Rick Hendrick has been quite similar in his approach to new and innovative projects like Kyle Larson. The HMS team owner has been known for his interest in exploring the various segments of racing. After joining hands with Goodyear and Chevrolet for the Garage 56 project this year, they have shown no signs of stopping at it. An appearance for them at the Indy 500 will not just solidify his position in a new territory, it will see two giants of racing combine as well.

But the first thought that crossed the 74-year-old’s mind was to be the owner of a car at the event. Considering the gravity of that reality, he says that Racing Director at Arrow McLaren INDYCAR, Gavin Ward has been influential in making it happen. CEO Zak Brown has also contributed massively in finalizing this long build-up to their goal.
