Lo-and-behold, Hagerty’s The Amelia finally returns! The event that will be held between February 29 and March 3 this year will see the Chairman and CEO of NASCAR’s winningest team appear as a distinguished guest. For anyone trying to guess who it is, Rick Hendrick will be an honoree this year at The Amelia, which is an annual car collector event set to take place at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island. And not just that, the team owner will also display iconic cars from his collection.
Honoree Rick Hendrick to look back on his 40 years in NASCAR
Hendrick is going to exhibit various exquisite collection of cars, ranging from his racing days too. However, the Garage 56 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 prepared for the 2023-24 Hours of Le Mans will certainly be the main attraction. In addition to that, the veteran team owner will also steer the ship to reportedly showcase other iconic models from their four decades’ worth of race participation. Speaking about it, Hendrick seemed delighted to be back at the Hagerty’s The Amelia. He also extended his respect toward other guests gracing the event.

“For my entire life, I’ve loved automobiles and racing. The Amelia is truly a celebration of both of those passions,” Rick Hendrick said. “The list of past honorees is filled with names I respect and admire, and it’s incredibly humbling to be mentioned in the same breath. Racing legends like Jacky Ickx, Hans-Joachim Stuck, Bobby Rahal, Sam Posey, and Hurley Haywood previously served as Honoree to this event.
