The only active NASCAR legend is Jimmie Johnson. He is the only current driver who has won seven championships, tied with Dale Earnhardt Sr and Richard Petty. Now, he has entered the 2024 Cup Series season with just one goal, and that is to end his winless streak of the present 134 races that’s been haunting him since 2017. Jimmie Johnson is scheduled to run 8 more races this year. However, to add to his legacy, Johnson was finally inducted into the Daytona Beach-based Motor Sports Hall of Fame on Tuesday.

Jimmie Johnson Greeted by Richard Petty!

Legacy Motor Club Ambassador and the most famous racer, Sir Richard Petty, also known as “The King” of the NASCAR world, welcomed Jimmie Johnson into the Hall of Fame Club. Richard recently celebrated Jimmie Johnson’s induction into the Hall of Fame with a touching video on Twitter.

Reflecting on the moment, Jimmie Johnson provided his salutations, as he stated, “I’ve found that the NASCAR Hall of Fame was the first experience I had that took me so deep down memory lane. I had such an amazing time, visiting with old friends, writing my speech, reliving all these memories. But I’m also very excited for this one. It’s special.”

This year, Johnson is enjoying three different Hall of Fame inductions. So far, he has been inducted by the Daytona Beach-based Motor Sports Hall of Fame of America and the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte. He is yet to be inducted into the West Coast Stock Car/Motorsports Hall of Fame in Napa, California, this year.

In his 690-race career, Jimmie Johnson has won 83 races. Furthermore, the tracks Johnson is competing at this season contributed to forty of his 83 NASCAR Cup Series victories. Johnson has yet to compete in eight races this season, with the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400 at Texas Motor Speedway coming next. His sure motto in all of these races is to garner a win, for which he has been longing for the last 7 years.
