Amidst NASCAR’s Daytona 500 Media Day, the Speedway honored the Petty family’s 75-year racing legacy. Richard and Kyle Petty, alongside Legacy Motor Club, unveiled a remarkable tribute—a life-size replica of Richard’s iconic cowboy hat. Presided over by track president Frank Kelleher, the event showcased the first of the 28 unique artworks as ‘The King’s Hat’ celebrated the Pettys’ impact on NASCAR.

‘The King’s Hat’, a 1,000-pound monument, will be on permanent display at NASCAR and Speedway Motorsports-owned circuits this season. Standing six feet tall, the iconic hat is now available for fans to capture unforgettable moments with. One can spot the hat, at the Hard Rock Bet infield fan zone, positioned to the left of the stage at Daytona International Speedway.
