Kyle Busch and his sponsorship drama took a major turn when rumors of Richard Childress pursuing the driver came to light. Apparently, his tactics are quite “aggressive”. But he just got a big warning against the move.

NASCAR Spotter, Brett Griffin said, “There’s a lot of rumors that Richard Childress is aggressively pursuing Kyle Busch. Obviously, you would think that for the #8 car for next year. So, it’ll be curious to see if things get better between Richard and Tyler.”

“I don’t think Tyler has got a problem. I’d be curious to see what happens.”

Obviously, if Busch joins RCR in 2023, it means he will replace Tyler Reddick mid-contract. And Richard Childress will have to fire Reddick. But what makes it more concerning is that the #8 driver has been very loyal to the team. On top of that, he’s the primary reason Childress’ grandson, Austin Dillon, won the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona.

Griffin pointed it out as he added, “Without Reddick, grandson one, Austin Dillon, he ain’t in his playoffs.”

He got a point. If the #8 hadn’t pushed Dillon in the final stretch, he wouldn’t have his win, or be in the playoffs. But where will Tyler Reddick go?

What will happen to Tyler Reddick if Kyle Busch replaces him in Richard Childress Racing

Busch joining RCR will cause quite the storm in the NASCAR community. But what will happen to the very “loyal” Tyler Reddick, as described by Brett Griffin?

Luckily, Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan came and drew a safety net for the driver.

Well, they didn’t exactly draw anything. However, they drew up a contract, stating that Reddick will join the team when his contract ends after 2023.

But of course, that means he will join the team in 2024. However, the important question is, will 23XI let him join before that if Busch were to join next year? There’s a good chance they aren’t even prepared for another driver.
