RFK Racing has announced that Fifth Third Bank will be returning to sponsor Chris Buescher for a total of five races during the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Roush Fenway Racing and Fifth Third have a long-running partnership of over a decade and the recent announcement will only further cement their ties.
Chris Buescher’s No.17 Ford will be donning the blue-white Fifth Third Bank vinyl at the Texas Motor Speedway (April 14). Then making a comeback at Darlington Raceway (May 12), Michigan International Speedway (August 18), Daytona International Speedway (August 24), and the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval (October 13). Fastenal, Castrol and Ford Performance previously announced their partnership with RFK Racing’s No.17 for the 2024 Cup Series.
RFK Racing and Fifth Third Bank extend their long-standing partnership

The Fifth Third Bank came on board with RFK Racing back in 2012 and since then they have been proud partners. The Fifth Third Ford has been to victory lane on multiple occasions, one came in May of 2017 when Ricky Stenhouse won at Talladega and the same year he again won at the Daytona International Speedway.
The most recent one came in 2023 when Buecher won at Daytona with Fifth Third acting as his primary sponsor. With the recent announcement, both the driver and the team are thrilled to have onboarded the banking consultant for the 2024 season. The five races will see Ford No.17 draped in the wild-looking skin that has already got people talking online.
RFK Racing announced the extension of the partnership with a post on X captioned, “Ready to give the competition a run for their money. 💰 @FifthThird @Chris_Buescher,” This was followed by another post that read, “The bright & glowing @FifthThird colors will return to Chris Buescher’s No. 17 for five races this season”. Chris Buescher responding to the tags by FRK said, “We love an improper fraction.”

On Dec 5th 2023 as Chris Buescher was preparing to hit the tracks for two days testing at Phonenix Raceway, the RFK racing and Fastenal unveil it’s new fresh paint schemes for Buescher’s 2024 No.17 Ford. Fastenal has entered it’s 14th season as a partner of RFK Racing and 9 of those has been with Buescher. The 31-year-old thanked the company for the continue support and is looking to achieve new heights with this partnership.
“First off, we’re thankful to Fastenal’s continued years of dedication to our race team and our continued success,” said Buescher, who has four wins in the last two NASCAR Cup Series seasons. “Fans across the country have grown to recognize and appreciate the iconic Fastenal blue scheme, and we’re excited to roll out a new look on that car this week in Phoenix. 2024 is already off and running, and we can’t wait to officially hit the track next February.”

Buescher’s run this season will be an interesting one as fans are now hoping him to leap past his impressive showings in the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series.
