With the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series season rapidly approaching, anticipation is gradually building among fans and drivers alike. The first race on the calendar is at the Los Angeles Coliseum, the first time NASCAR is visiting the arena. Ahead of next weekend’s race, a few more details of the Cup Series race have emerged.
Among them was information on the work area in the pit road. Fans noticed a section in the pit area which was filled with painted white squares. According to Fox Sports’ Bob Pockrass, that is supposed to be the work area where teams can come and have the car worked on. He also noted that protocol demands that there will be a couple of crew members per car allowed in the infield.

Obviously, due to the smaller space in the stadium, teams will not be able to operate at full capacity. Some compromises will have to be made in order to accommodate the teams. As a result, the haulers and the garage will be situated in a parking lot just outside the stadium. The purpose of the limited crew member presence is to be on standby in the event of a need to change a tire or a quick repair.

Many are excited for NASCAR to return to racing
Of course, the more important issue is that the racing season is finally beginning. The official start of the 2022 season is at the Daytona 500, while the Busch Clash is regarded as the unofficial start to the season because there are no points on offer and it is an invitation-only event.
