The 2021 NASCAR Cup season is just a week away, and the anticipation is building up well. To welcome the new campaign, Chase Elliott recently unveiled his 2021 lid. On an interesting note, helmet designer RStar Design showcased two variations of Elliott’s helmet.
The regular helmet distinctly resembles Elliott’s Hendrick Motorsports car paint scheme. Meanwhile, the red and white helmet appears to be an alternate one for special occasions.

Of course, Elliott is eager to tackle the new season head-on. He will be a little giddy about competing in his first title-defending season; however, he knows that he cannot afford to slip up, because his rivals will be waiting for that. Instead, he has to try and maintain a level of consistency throughout the year.

Leading a group of young and hungry stars as his teammates, Elliott has his work cut out for him. With drivers like Kyle Larson, William Byron, and Alex Bowman snapping at his heels, he has to really watch his back. Aside from the threat close to home, he also has to keep a wary eye on the Stewart-Haas, Joe Gibbs, and Penske drivers.
Drivers like Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick, and Denny Hamlin are definitely out for redemption. This is because the three of them were desperate to clinch the title. Busch was the defending champion, but his title defense fizzled out into oblivion.
Meanwhile, Harvick and Hamlin were the definite favorites, as they ran riot in regular season. While Hamlin was just not fast enough to take what would have been his maiden crown, all it took was one wrong move at the inopportune time to end Harvick’s hopes of the championship.
