In a recent interview, Kyle said, “Honestly it doesn’t matter how sooner or later it gets done until there’s the announcement that someone else is driving the 18 car till then, I feel like I still have a seat.”

On being asked if he has been talking to other teams, he responded positively. He further mentions that anything is possible at the moment, depending on how things play out.

According to barstool sports, one of their sources said, “JGR and Toyota both are prepared and ready to say goodbye to Kyle”.  Which, if true, would leave no Toyota cars for Kyle to ride.

However, another one of their sources said, “I am strongly led to believe it’s Kyle to RCR next year with Chevrolet interested in coming to KBM and elevating Chevy to compete for a trucks championship.”
