With only a month left for the long-awaited Clash at the Coliseum, NASCAR has ‘opened’ the gates for fans for the entire weekend. The Clash, which will be held at the historic LA Coliseum, will be the first of its kind.

And while fans could attend the event on Sunday, February 6th, it is now reported that they’re also welcome on Saturday.

When a fan asked on Twitter, “Is fans allowed access for Saturday?”, journalist Bob Pockrass replied, “Yes, NASCAR is selling tickets for Saturday practice and qualifying for the Clash at LA Coliseum.”

Currently, the venue is being adapted to the demands of stock car racing. Approximately $1 million is being spent on constructing the quarter-mile track. But that amount is nothing compared to the doors a successful Clash will open for NASCAR.

As Bob Pockrass said, “if the race works at the LA Coliseum, it opens up the possibility to do that at other stadium venues, and not just in the U.S.”

And as for how the racing action would feel like, here’s what former driver Michael Waltrip said, “You will get cold chills when you walk through the peristyle and see this race track.”

He added, “Kind of makes me want to get back behind the wheel.”
