As the playoffs begin in NASCAR, so does the silly season with driver contracts. Respected NASCAR Journalist Bob Pockrass recently revealed that Kyle Busch has several offers on the table and one of them could be from Richard Childress Racing.

Pockrass revealed, “Kyle Busch said he has multiple contract offers, and he potentially could sign on in the next week or so. One of those is from Richard Childress Racing, and Richard Childress has said that they have put their past differences behind them, and Childress told me yesterday that if he did sign Kyle Busch, he potentially could start a third car for him.”

Adding a third car might end up costing Childress around the hallmark of $20 Million or more. However, that made it seem like they aren’t in the mood to fire Tyler Reddick just yet.

Richard Childress’s offer might be a lucrative one for Kyle Busch

While RCR isn’t the only option for Kyle Busch, this could be a great opportunity for ‘the candy man’, considering the RCR would be able to provide Busch with a competitive car to fight for wins.

Speculations have been floated for teams like Kaulig Racing and 23XI Racing to call in Busch. However, even if such an opportunity were to be offered, the only chance he would have for consistent wins would be at 23XI.

But since 23XI has already made it clear that they will not be able to run a third car, the final call remains at RCR or maybe in case, Matt Kaulig shows an interest.

Moreover, Richard Childress has called Busch to be the “best race car drivers he has ever seen in NASCAR.” He said this back during the race at the Daytona International Speedway, and ever since Childress has been seen to be highly positive regarding Busch.

Around 10 years ago, these two got into a physical fight. However, according to Childress, they have cast their difference aside, and he looks forward to working with the JGR driver.
