Is there anything more American than beer and NASCAR at Pocono Raceway?

Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer made its NASCAR debut today in the Xfinity Series race at Pocono Raceway. Partnering with Fan Controlled Sports and EssentiallySports’ Lucky Dog on track, Hogan’s new beer is featured on the SS Green Light No. 14 car. The success story of the Talladega race earlier this season fueled the initiative to be back on track, this time around with Hulk Hogan’s brainchild, which is aiming to bring America together “one beer at a time.

Now, the Tricky Triangle can be a tough ordeal for any good race car driver, but Mason Massey, piloting the No. 14 Ford, certainly kept his cool. Delivering yet another promising result to keep this unique initiative charged and ready to be back on track very soon.

The 27-year-old driver hasn’t been running a full schedule in the Xfinity Series. But, whenever he hops into a Fan Controlled race car supported by Lucky Dog on track, he brings his A-game. Heading into the race, Massey wasn’t able to fire off well in the qualifiers, as he could only manage a start in 31st position, at the tail end of the field.

But that wasn’t going to keep him from delivering his absolute best in the race. Weaving his way through multiple cautions and restarts, Massey was optimistic about finishing the race inside the top 20. However, with 16 to go, a late-race restart foiled his plans and hopes for a solid result.

The #51 of Jeremy Clements was unsuccessful in his attempts to make an aggressive pass. Coming on Turn 2, Clements missed his markers, crashed into the safer barrier, and bounced back on the racetrack. In the process, he clipped the back bumper of the #14 car, which, for the most part, avoided being caught up in the wreck.

After the contact, Massey lost control of his racecar, hitting the inside wall. He was running 26th at the time and could’ve easily made a late race charge and secured a good result. But despite the crash, he got back to racing and finished the race on P29.

For a long time, NASCAR fans have been restricted to just a single choice of beer with Busch Light. Therefore, when they had their first sip of the Real American Beer, they certainly appreciated the fresh taste of the easy-to-go beverage, as was captured by the EssentiallySports on-ground team at Pocono.

Have an interesting take?

The motto behind this new beer by Hulk Hogan is to make beer drinking fun again. Not only that, they also hope to disrupt the market that, for the time being, is only enjoyed by Busch Light. Going by the initial reactions, Real American Beer just might give the official beer partners of NASCAR a run for their money. The cool part is that the All-American Lager is not just restricted to fans on the tracks but will be available to enjoy across 25 states in the United States.

Well, it also looks like Cup Series star Noah Gragson might indulge in the chugging contest in Atlanta when Real American Beer officially comes to NASCAR, as he mentioned to an EssentiallySports journalist in an exclusive chat. So, it is fair to say America is certainly rallying behind Hulk Hogan’s new creation, and the good news is that this party is only getting started.
