Kyle Busch‘s struggles this NASCAR Cup Series season have been well-documented, with four DNFs (Did Not Finish) and just one top-10 finish in the last six races. That’s a far cry from the success he and his fans are used to seeing, and it’s even being declared as the worst stretch of his racing career. It’s a shame that even his highlights this season, like winning the pole and finishing fourth at Dover, or coming in third in the thrilling three-wide finish at Atlanta, are beginning to look like mere consolation prizes for a driver of his caliber.

Have an interesting take?
But hold on, maybe there’s still hope for the RCR team and Busch at Pocono. The Tricky Triangle is a unique track, known for its long straightaways and strategic racing, but the No. 8 Chevrolet driver has shown his talent here before in 2018 when he drove from 28th to the win. Including four career Cup Series victories at Pocono, he clearly knows how to tame this challenging circuit and could potentially save face this time around!
So while the steering issues plaguing Busch’s car during practice is still a major concern, there could be a silver lining after all. Given that the Richard Childress Racing (RCR) team works fast to resolve the problem, there’s no doubt that Busch could take over the weekend with no problem! So keep your fingers crossed that it gets sorted out ASAP!
So far it’s been a season to forget so far, but with Pocono’s unique challenges, the two-time champ may just have a chance to turn things around and keep his playoff hopes alive. As they prepare for the race, fans have been pointing fingers at the organization, wondering if Busch’s misfortunes are due to a lack of attention to detail and poor management.
