It is relatively well-known in the NASCAR community that former child actor Frankie Muniz IV is passionate about racing. In 2023, he joined the ARCA Menards Series for Rette Jones Racing. Since then, he has been in rip-roaring form.

Muniz put together a consistent run to finish fourth in the championship standings. Although he has not reached Victory Lane yet, one cannot help but think that he isn’t far behind. Now it feels like the RSS Racing team seems to agree with that sentiment.

Is Frankie Muniz really graduating to the NASCAR scene?

According to Frontstretch, multiple sources have confirmed that RSS Racing will recruit the 37-year-old for the 2024 season. Already, the organization is fielding the #39 car with Ryan Sieg, but with the news of Muniz possibly joining, they could add another car. Now the question is, what will be Muniz’s racing number, as RSS Racing is fielding the #28, #38 and #39 cars on a full-time basis? Meanwhile, they also fielded the #29 car on a part-time basis this year in 2023.

In any case, these are still just rumors, and there are few details and no official announcement from either the team or the driver. It is also unclear whether Frankie Muniz will drive on a full-time or part-time basis. Nevertheless, if this is true, this could be a big step for his career, especially after he confessed that he was aiming to reach the Cup level.

It is also note-worthy that Muniz’s racing schedule will be a very busy one. This is because there are reports that he could juggle another racing series. Conventional wisdom would suggest that that second series will be the ARCA Menards Series. This is because he only made his debut in the series earlier this season.

Since he finished fourth in the standings, the next step there would be a maiden championship. In 2023, Jesse Love emerged as the champion, ahead of Andres Perez and Christian Rose. Muniz was just 29 points shy of third place, though it would have taken considerable effort to catch Love. But what about the team Frankie Muniz is tipped to join?

Nevertheless, if Frankie Muniz does join the racing outfit, he will try his best with the machinery that he gets. The 37-year-old will also be waiting to confirm his title sponsor for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, RSS Racing will have to shift its focus back to the 2023 season, as there is one race left. Once the season is over, they can iron out the details of a potential contract with the driver.
