Racing runs strong in the Harvick household as 11-year-old Keelan Harvick recently secured a Legend Cars victory at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on Friday. His father, Kevin Harvick, shared this achievement on his official X account, expressing the pride he feels as the father of a motorsports athlete. The future seems bright for Keelan at the moment and it will be interesting to see which form of motorsports he chooses to go into in the future.
Kevin Harvick is the proud father of a prolific racer
The way things are going, it seems like Keelan will be following in the footsteps of his father and end up in NASCAR. Legend Car racers usually go that way. Given his performances of late, it would not be a surprise if teams already start scouting the young racer.

Kevin Harvick must be a proud father but you wouldn’t know that looking at how he expressed on X. The former Cup Series champion simply shared a picture of his son (which was uploaded by US Legend Cars/INEX) and wrote, “Nice job @KeelanHarvick.” To be fair, Keelan also did not express a lot of excitement when he posted about his race win, writing, “2 more opportunities tomorrow!” on his X account.

This was not Keelan Harvick’s only big achievement in motorsports of late. Just a few days ago, the 11-year-old emerged victorious in a thrilling Legend Car race at the New River All-American Speedway.
It has been a successful week for Keelan Harvick
The race lasted for 30 laps which saw a whopping 11 lead changes. Keelan was up against some of the best racers of his age like Jacob Staten and Aiden McConnaughey. With just 3 laps to go in the race, Harvick passed Staten for the lead and held on to take the victory. Staten was passed by McConnaughey again before the checkered flag fell and was demoted from P1 to P3 in the space of just 3 laps. It was proper racing, something that a lot of people enjoyed.

After the race, Keelan Harvick acknowledged the work he had to put in and displayed his sportsman’s spirit when he said that Staten had done a good job of racing him clean. It seems like Kevin Harvick is raising a proper gentleman on track. “It was really hard. Good job to Jacob. He raised me clean. I just got loose up there off the last corner and just wasn’t letting that one go,” Keelan said.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for young Keelan. If he continues to race this way then one day he might even end up outperforming his championship-winning father. That would be one hell of an achievement.
