FOX recently announced NASCAR legend Tony Stewart and Clint Bowyer will join Mike Joy in the booth for the first two races of the season. Stewart and Bowyer will reunite as guest analysts for the Clash at the Coliseum and the Daytona 500. But this led to many fans wondering, “Who replaces Jeff Gordon?”

This is because the four-time Cup Series champion was also a regular part of the FOX booth in recent seasons, but lately, he is focusing on his new role at Hendrick Motorsports.

And to answer that question of who is Gordon’s replacement, journalist Bob Pockrass said, “Many of you have asked about who replaces Jeff Gordon in the FOX booth. It won’t be someone on a full-time basis. Up first: Tony Stewart for the Clash and the Daytona 500. Rest of FOX portion of season is TBD/TBA.”

Brad Zager, Executive Producer, Fox Sports, described Tony Stewart’s appointment as he said, “Tony brings Hall-of-Fame credentials and one of the most informative and entertaining voices in motorsports.”

“There is an obvious chemistry between Smoke and Clint. And there is no one better than Mike at bringing a broadcast altogether.”

Jeff Gordon had admitted he will miss his role at FOX

Earlier in 2021, Jeff Gordon was announced as the Vice Chairman of his former team. This meant he had to let go of his role at FOX, which he described as something he will miss and will always be grateful for.

“I cannot thank the entire FOX Sports family enough for the incredible opportunity I’ve had over the past six seasons,” Gordon said.

“I’m certainly going to miss it, but I will forever be grateful to FOX for the experience and for the trust they’ve placed in me.”

But we have a feeling that Tony Stewart will bring his own special touch with his unique personality and take on things.
