The 2020 NASCAR Cup Series season is finally complete, with Chase Elliott triumphing. In light of this, some of the NASCAR drivers were asked to look back on the season. When asked about the driver who made the biggest impact, Kevin Harvick emerged as a major contender. Bubba Wallace feels Harvick made the biggest impact in 2020.

Speaking about Harvick, Wallace said, “I can brag on myself for everything that’s happening off the race track and how we’re elevating the sport to new heights and a new audience, which is super important and super powerful. But on the right track, look at what Kevin Harvick is doing, [almost getting] 10 wins [this season]. I think that’s pretty damn cool.”

In the 2020 season, Harvick had been in sublime form, so it was a big shock to many when he failed to make the final 4. At the Martinsville Speedway, he needed to make up just one place and Kyle Busch was the only man in his way. So, he tried a desperate tactic and went to spin Busch out, but it backfired.

Obviously, nobody knows if he will be able to replicate his 9-race-winning form in the new season. If he does, he will be sure to put in a more consistent performance and try and grab a Championship 4 slot next time around. Owing to his sublime form, Bubba Wallace believes that Kevin Harvick was one of the biggest stories this year.

However, it is worth noting that Wallace himself has been the talk of the town on many occasions. Wallace was in the news off the race track. On the other end of the scale, the news of his recruitment to the Denny Hamlin-Michael Jordan project was another claim to fame.
