Home/NASCAR

The 2024 NASCAR Awards in Charlotte felt like a homecoming event. This was the first time that the award ceremony was held at NASCAR’s home base. Previously, New York City, Las Vegas, and Nashville hosted this annual gala. While the award ceremony is something that holds significance for the driver, the fans are eager to see their favorite star in stylish outfits. After all, this is one of the rare occasions where drivers dress up and are paired well with their partners.

Although the dress code is somewhat the same among all the drivers, the same cannot be said for their wives or girlfriends. Here we will take a look at the couples who stood out from the rest with their outfit choices.

First off, we have the Cup Series champ, Joey Logano, and his wife, Brittany Baca. The Penske star had a modest-looking black and white suit, but he did steal the show by flaunting his three championship rings (2018,2022 and 2024). Meanwhile, Brittany looked stunning in her dark green strapless dress.

Well, Logano’s crew chief wasn’t far behind; if anything, he looked more smart than his driver. Paul Wolfe also opted for a classic black and white suit combo, but it was his bowtie that certainly worked in his favor. His wife Aleah donned a white netted dress, and truth be told, the couple certainly stood out amongst the other celebrities and drivers on the red carpet.

23XI Racing star Tyler Reddick was the one who opted for a rather unique outfit choice. In a video shared by NASCAR on Instagram, Reddick revealed his outfit was from Stitched By Mitch. Unlike most of the drivers, he had a casual suit unbuttoned, and he opted to go for the Jordans over the regular formal shoes. This comes as no surprise as the owner of his team is none other than Michael Jordan, so Jordan’s did suit his style. Reddick’s wife, Alexa DeLeon, had a dark blue gown with a pendant around her neck and a hand purse.

Denny Hamlin also joined his fellow driver with a unique combo of his own. Hamlin wore a velvet tuxedo featuring matching buttons for his shirt. Interestingly, this was a gift from his long-time sponsor, FedEx. Recently, he announced that FedEx would no longer be the sponsor of his #11 car and the suit was a fitting tribute to their long-lasting legacy. His fiance, Jordan Fish, looked equally dazzling, if not more than Hamlin, with a gown she got off Revolve.

Last but not least, we had Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife, Amy. The evergreen duo of NASCAR certainly added more light and energy with their mere presence at the 2024 NASCAR Awards. Both of them were dressed modestly and interestingly complimented each other. Dale Jr. had a classic black and white suit with a tie, and Amy wore a matching black dress. This was perhaps the only couple who had the same colored dress for the big event.

What’s your perspective on:

Did Joey Logano's rings outshine his outfit, or was Brittany the real star of the night?

Apart from the bling-bling of the red carpet, there were other notable moments that stood out as the highlight of the NASCAR Awards.

While the Awards serve as a platform to celebrate the champions and their story, it also allows NASCAR to identify individuals who promote stock car racing in good light with their contributions and selfless efforts. Former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle was the recipient of the prestigious Myers Brothers Award. Biffle received this award for his relief work in helping the mountain communities in Western North Carolina, who were affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

Biffle used his private helicopter to reach the communities located in the remote mountainous region and supplied them with essential supplies. Narrating the story of why he took on this responsibility, the former NASCAR driver stated, “It started on a Saturday morning when I got a phone call for somebody in need of assistance. And what I thought was one family turned in to be, a pretty devastating event and just escalated one thing after another. And I thought, you know, I’ve got the resources, and if I don’t go, who’s going to go? And what turned out to be 4,000 messages after that just turned into 12 days of flying, sun up to sun down.”

Meanwhile, the outgoing Toyota Racing Development head, David Wilson, became the recipient of the Bill France Award of Excellence. An industry veteran who worked at Toyota for 35 years had been involved in growing Toyota’s NASCAR project. In his 11-year stint, he helped Toyota grow and prosper to become a competitive OEM partner of the sport. And it’s fair to say that ever since Toyota’s arrival, the level of competition has increased a notch.

But Wilson had no clue that he was going to be rewarded with this special award in Charlotte. “I was well and truly stunned, rocked my world tonight to be called up on stage by my dear friend Jim France and to be recognized. As I said, and what I believe and what’s in my heart, is again on my very best day, I am simply a reflection of a wonderful team that’s supported me, that’s trusted me, that’s empowered me to serve and so, yeah, I’m still soaking it in.” He said after receiving his award.
