Earlier, Kyle Larson had rushed off to Bristol for a Late Model race. The perks of trying to juggle two different racing series is horribly difficult at times. Poor old Larson found that out the hard way when he turned up late and got penalised for it. Initially upset, he ranted about the unfairness of the penalty. After he calmed down, he confessed that it was a spot of miscommunication and the sport should not bend the rules for him.

However, his team owner Kevin Rumley was still sore about the matter. He said, “From my point of view, we were misled by Casey Shuman. Not happy about it. I’m glad there are other series that are gaining momentum now. So, competitors have options to run other places when the management doesn’t hold up their end of the bargain. People are here to see Kyle Larson. So, if they want him to continue to show up, the officials need to be more reasonable in a situation like this. We’re going to re-evaluate who we race with in the future.”

Will the team really pull Kyle Larson out of the series?

Truthfully speaking, the notion seems very farfetched, as he is really passionate about dirt racing. What the Hendrick Motorsports driver can do is try and ensure that he is on time for the races. After all, he should know how hectic his schedule can be. All that he can hope for is that he has not bitten off more than he can chew.

Coming to his NASCAR Cup career, Larson is hoping that he can win a second consecutive title. Nobody has been able to do it since Jimmie Johnson, all the way back in 2006 all the way till 2010. It would mean a lot to him, having been the spiritual successor of the 7-time Cup Series champion.
