Aside from being a 2-time Cup Series champion, Kyle Busch has a bit of a reputation for being ‘Rowdy’. In light of this, 2018 Indianapolis 500 winner Will Power admitted that he wanted to fight Busch. On an interesting note, Power is not referring to fighting on the track, but a literal boxing match.

His comments come on the back of the recent spate of celebrity boxing matches with decorated fighters. The Australian admitted that he would be interested in participating in those boxing matches.

“I would be down to fight after races,” Power said. “I think it would be awesome. I’ve been watching really with interest these celebrities, YouTube celebrities, fighting people. Man, I got to get in on this.”

Why did he choose Kyle Busch?

Busch is notorious for getting involved in fights in the NASCAR arena and is quite outspoken. After all, there is a reason why his nickname is ‘Rowdy’. So it isn’t really surprising that Will Power wants to test his might against one of the ‘bad boys’ of NASCAR. He even spoke about the newly-formed Superstar Racing Experience series.

He confessed that he would love to see lots of brawls on the track. Will Power also said that most people want to watch drivers fight. Power even addressed the age-old rivalry between IndyCar and NASCAR and firmly backed an IndyCar driver to win.

It is also worth mentioning that Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi also participated in the conversation. Apparently, he asked his rival about who his ideal opponent would be, and the Penske driver suggested Kyle Busch. However, he also confessed that he would not want to face off against Kevin Harvick. Power clearly figured out that the Stewart-Haas driver is a decent fighter.
