Dominating 181 laps of the 267-lap feature is no walk in the park. But it is when you are Kyle Larson in Las Vegas. The driver, known for his superior racing prowess in speedways, proved his mettle once again with a dominating performance, acing all three stages of the race to pick up his first win of the season, his 24th career win. Following the iconic triumph, Larson reflected on his performance, lauding Reddick for his blitz, taking the fight to him.

He said, “I knew Tyler was gonna be the guy to be from the first stage. He was really fast there. I was hoping those guys were gonna get racing a little bit longer behind me because I felt like he was gonna time out to where he was running really hard and getting the toe to catch me at the end. Thankfully, I was able to air-block him a couple of laps and get him tight, ” Larson said.

The victory celebration at the end was the cherry on the cake as Larson’s son Owen Miyata Larson picked up the checkered flag and joined his father and sister in the #5 car for a round around the track, giving viewers a beautiful father-son moment.

However, amid all this, the one that was left to contemplate the most was Tyler Reddick. Coming so close to finishing first but failing to do so has got to hurt, isn’t it?

It was not a good day for 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick who did not mince his words in the post-race interview. Even though the #45 driver managed to close the distance on the closing laps of the race, he still couldn’t catch the #5 HMS Chevy which was on a roll. Reddick who started from the 18th position, displayed an impressive surge, climbing 16 spots to secure a commendable P2 finish but never liked to be the second fiddle.

Following the race, Reddick mentioned his displeasure, hinting at 23XI Racing’s pit road woes. He said, “You get the lead, you gotta hold on to it, and yeah, Kyle did a really good job there of pretty much taking away every option I had to close the gap. Stupid mistakes on pit road, Same s**t different year, right? Like it’s kind of frustrating so we’ll continue to work on it..”
