The relentless pursuit of victory in motorsport often comes with the sobering reality of potential career-ending injuries. Last year, we saw this go down with 23XI Racing’s star driver, Kurt Busch. His career took an unexpected turn during qualifying at Pocono Raceway. As Busch suffered a debilitating concussion, he was rendered unfit to compete in the coming races.
Since then, Kurt Busch has been focused on his road to recovery and has said several times that he intends to come back when he feels he is at his best again. Although he feels he isn’t in the best shape to be back in the car yet, he shared a tweet during the Pocono weekend when he took part in an unexpected race.

The elder brother of RCR star Kyle Busch and the 2004 NASCAR Cup Series champion recently took to Twitter to show his love for NASCAR, his team, and his sponsors. He also took the opportunity to share what he was up to during the race weekend that proved detrimental to him last year. His recent endeavor reminded him of the rush of chasing race wins in NASCAR. This is what his tweet read.
“Emotional weekend for me personally. I knew I wasn’t ready to go back to Pocono, but I still have so much passion for @NASCAR, my race team @23XIRacing, and our sponsors. @MonsterEnergy @ToyotaRacing @McDonalds @Jumpman23
I was invited to a one of a kind ski boat race in the world and had to go.
The adrenaline of competing for a win in such unique event brought me back to chasing checkered flags. Being part of a win, helped bring some closure.
