Without a doubt, Dale Earnhardt Jr is one of the most adventurous personalities in NASCAR. After having an illustrious career in the NASCAR Cup Series, the former Hendrick Motorsports driver has tried his hand at a number of things. To date, he has a podcast to his name, he has tried his hand at broadcasting, he has his own vodka brand and whatnot. And despite all of this, he still manages to surprise his fans now and then.

Recently, it was his latest social media comment that showed his geeky side and impressed many.

Post-retirement, Junior has become an avid and active user of social media platforms. In one such activity recently, he displayed his in-depth knowledge of technology, which apparently not limited to motorsports. For sure, many of us are alien to what he knows.

Dale Earnhardt is flattered by Ross Chastain’s Team’s fancy tech upgrade

Ross Chastain has been a popular name in the 2023 Cup Series season, although not always for good reasons. Having said that, he is having quite the season, with three top-five and four top-ten finishes in nine races so far. Not only that, he is currently ranked second in the standings, five points behind leader Christopher Bell.

While he’s doing some amazing stuff, his team Trackhouse Racing isn’t far behind. At the recent race in Martinsville on Sunday, the team’s hauler had video boards by its doors. It certainly looked eye-catchy and enhances the look of the haulers. Furthermore, it also allows them to do some creative marketing.

While well-known journalist Bob Pockrass was the one to report it, it immediately caught Dale Earnhardt Jr’s attention. What the 2x Daytona 500 winner said next shook many.

He commented, “We got a couple 4090s running those bad boys?”

Of course, not many would be familiar with this. What Dale Jr meant here was the use of GeForce’s RTX 4090 Graphic Card. In layman’s terms, it is the source behind the visuals displayed. However, the point here is how Junior is so familiar with all these geeky details.
