Apparently, Kevin Harvick is not into mainstream Christmas celebrations. Christmas is just around the corner and for everyone, it is time to dive into the Christmas spirit and prepare for the holidays. Recently, NASCAR journalist Noah Lewis asked NASCAR Cup Series drivers what their favorite Christmas-time movies were.

Harvick stated, “It varies. I think with the kids you are all over the board. So you know the elf, buddy the elf, whatever I don’t even know. I guess it’s elf. I guess that’s the name of the movie. That’s been the one that Keelan watches lately. Piper is drastically different. You know as far as the things that she watches. So I guess if there is a Christmas edition of Paw Patrol, we are watching that.”

When asked what he prefers to watch during Christmas, the Stewart Haas Racing driver stated, “I watch DirtVision and Flo. There’s not many things that I watch on TV other than racing. So it’s not something that I find myself consumed with movies and things like that.”

Keelan, son of Kevin Harvick, wants to race in F1 one day
Harvick’s son Keelan apparently considers Max Verstappen of Red Bull to be his favorite driver. He also is an avid follower of Formula 1 and one day hopes to establish himself as an F1 driver.

However, on the other hand, Kevin Harvick realistically thinks that for his son to make it into F1 is nearly impossible. So he claims to use reverse psychology on young Keelan, so he performs better in his karting races. Harvick’s concern is justified enough, considering the lack of an American driver on the Formula 1 grid for such a long time. Not that there haven’t been American drivers, just that the chances for an American driver to make it up the ranks are incredibly slim.

That doesn’t mean Harvick would disapprove of his son’s desire to compete in Formula 1 one fine day. Keelan has been performing well in the karting scene over the last few years and if he successfully scales the ranks of open-wheel racing, it would be amazing. Harvick can refer to the example of Logan Sargent, who is the latest American addition to F1.
