Finishing second to the champion, Joey Logano, Ross Chastain, displayed his exceptional talents in the 2022 NASCAR Cup Series. With two race wins, 15 top-5 finishes, and a memorable video game-like wall-riding move, the Trackhouse Racing driver showed everyone that he is here to win it. And in 2023 too, the 30-year-old is ready to give his all to climb up that one position in the points table. However, can he really replace Kevin Harvick?
Interestingly, Chastain is in the final year of his contract with the Trackhouse Racing Team this year. And rumors about him potentially replacing Kevin Harvick at Stewart-Haas Racing have begun bubbling up. With a great season behind him, it is obvious that Chastain will be the hottest commodity in the NASCAR market if he chooses to look for a new home.

He told Pockrass, “It’s everything I have ever wanted. I mean, I’ve looked up to (Kevin Harvick) for as long as I can remember. It’s absolutely incredible to even be talked about in the same room as him here at a media day…but I’m pretty happy where I’m at (with Trackhouse Racing).”
Although Chastain made it clear that he is happy at Trackhouse Racing Team, the two entities have not officially signed an extension contract yet. Hence, it is safe to say that the fans still have a chance to witness something different for Chastain in the upcoming years.
