Recently, it transpired that American rapper Pitbull will become a part-owner of Team Trackhouse. To be perfectly honest, nobody saw this move coming. However, the rapper-turned-producer admitted that he is quite fond of NASCAR and was open to joining the squad as a co-owner.
Pitbull is just one of the few celebrity names associated with the NASCAR series. Aside from Michael Jordan, there is a chance of Floyd Mayweather becoming be a team owner as well. It is also worth noting that former wrestler and action star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson almost became a team owner as well, many years ago.
Speaking about his recruitment, the rap artist said “As soon as I met Justin, Ty Norris and Daniel, we were on the same page. They welcomed me aboard, and now we’re going to show the world NASCAR is not only a sport but it’s a culture.”

Will Pitbull be more involved in Team Trackhouse’s NASCAR affairs?
Pitbull’s entry into the NASCAR scene comes on the back of Michael Jordan setting up his own team. Apparently, the Tom Cruise movie Days of Thunder served as Pitbull’s inspiration. In fact, this news served as the perfect 40th birthday present for the Miami-born rapper.
Having the Latino musician on board as an active partner and a brand ambassador will greatly benefit the team. This is largely because of his stage presence and influence with fans. The rapper is hugely popular in the United States and many of his fans could potentially start gaining an interest in NASCAR.

All in all, the Team Trackhouse Racing team is quickly establishing itself away from the track. Hopefully, all this influence translates onto the track, via Daniel Suarez. The Mexican driver joined the outfit from Gaunt Brothers Racing and insisted that he will stick with the Team Trackhouse outfit for the long run.
