Dale Jr. thinks Suarez isn't living in reality—do you agree with his harsh take?

The NASCAR cup series is going into a two-week break as the Paris Olympics is starting on 26th of July. However, one man who cannot catch a break is evidently, Daniel Suarez. Suarez will be racing in NASCAR’s Brasil Series Special Edition tournament in August. That’s not it, he is also getting married the same week. Wow what an year for the mexican star!

Clearly, as you are impressed, so was Dale Earnhardt Jr by Suarez balancing two big events of his life as he talked about it in his recent podcast.

A friendly chat followed by some good wishes to Daniel Suarez

Daniel Suarez created history by being the first Mexican Driver to win an Xfinity Series champion with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2016, and quite recently got his American citizenship. After winning the Xfinity, Suarez jumped to the cup series. This is currently his 8th season and probably the most special one. Yes! because he’s getting married and also because he has a win in the 2024 season.

As the NASCAR cup series will be paused, Suarez will be flying to race in the NASCAR Brasil Sprint Race at the Autódromo José Carlos Pace, also known as Interlago in São Paulo. The event acts as Stage 5 of the 2024 NASCAR Brasil Sprint Race calendar. The inaugural edition of the Brazil series took place in 2023.

In the same time period [a few days before] as the race, Suarez is also set to tie the Knot with Julia Piquet. One might think Suarez has some real guts to work during his wedding, as did Dale Jr, while he sat down with Dalton and Andrews for the ‘Ask Jr.’ portion of Dale Jr. Download. While it was the co-hosts who started the chat about Suarez’s attempt to so many things together, Junior was quick to join in and playfully say a word or two. He said, “Not many people can pull that off. Hey Honey! we’re going to race..we are getting married and racing. Daniel? You are not living in reality, man.”

Have an interesting take?

Suarez has a special connection with Brazil not just because of his fiancé Julia is a Brazilian. Brazil is a country that is very close to my heart. Julia (Piquet, fiancée), she’s already from Brazil,.. Her entire family is in Brazil. I’ve been competing in Brazil since 2015, endurance races in go-karts, and I have got to know the culture, the people and the motorsport love to a different level.” the 32 year old said in an interview as reported by NASCAR.

Getting married and racing together was a simple choice. Why wouldn’t it be? They are the two things he loves the most. Suarez said, “Making it even special  We’re gonna be getting married in Brazil in a couple weeks, and when I found out that they were gonna be having a NASCAR Brasil race in Interlagos on a racetrack that is so historic … it was a no-brainer for me.” The good news becomes even better for NASCAR as it enables them to get some international exposure.

The NASCAR Brazil series is a partnership between NASCAR and GT Sprint Race series in Brazil. This is not the first time NASCAR has done this. The Brazilian series is the fourth international series of NASCAR including the Nascar Mexico Series, Nascar Pinty’s Series in Canada, and the Nascar Whelen Euro Series.

This is a way NASCAR is trying to increase its reach by getting global exposure. Same was said by Vice President, Chief International Office at NASCAR, Chad Seigler. “Anytime we have that opportunity to really just bring that exposure internationally, it’s huge. It’s an opportunity from several sides. For us, on the NASCAR side, internationally, we try to grow the brand. We try to make people have a better understanding of stock-car-style racing and NASCAR-style racing, so that’s big for us” as was reported by NASCAR.

Suarez’s participation in the Brazil is a good move as it has a lot of talent pool for motorsports. Growing internationally will make NASCAR more accessible, as it won’t only be for racers from the United states. Either ways it’ll be a special month for Daniel Suarez. So we wish him the best!
