Ever since the season began, Kyle Busch has been stuck in sponsorship, and team dilemmas. And he has been looking for a seat to secure his position as a driver in the Cup Series. Luckily, the heavens heard his cries for help, and an angel by the name of Richard Childress rewarded him with a seat.

But wait, what about the Tyler Reddick dilemma? Well, it seems Childress has solved that too.

In a recent episode of Door, Bumper, Clear! NASCAR spotter, Brett Griffin, spoke about the big decision. Moreover, he thinks the team owner is a genius for the way he handled the whole driver situation.

He said, “Richard Childress looks like a genius.”, “The reality was you wouldn’t sign Tyler Reddick for a long-term deal, which he asked for. Okay, so he left.”, “Now, in order to save your race team, you better get an A guy. Here’s what happens, you but Kyle Busch in your car. If Kyle Busch runs 12th, do you think that’s Kyle Busch or the car? The car. You don’t have to wonder if it’s the driver or the car.”

Griffin explained the importance of putting the right guy in the car as he added, “When you start wondering if it’s the driver, the race teams flounder, terribly. You’re not gonna have that with Kyle Busch.”, “I think this is a brilliant move from Richard Childress.”

Busch joining Richard Childress seems like a given at this point. Of course, Childress’s grandson, Austin Dillon, is most probably not leaving the team. So naturally, the fingers point towards Reddick. Moreover, he already has a deal with 23XI Racing after 2023. But where will he go if Busch joins next year?

Well, the question still needs an answer, and with Busch’s announcement approaching soon, we should have our answers. But according to Danielle Trotta of Sirius XM NASCAR Radio, he will continue to drive for the team in 2023.
