Halloween is regarded as a pretty important national holiday in the United States. And like everyone, even the NASCAR drivers and the community enjoys it. Back in 2011, a number of NASCAR Cup drivers were asked about their Halloween costumes. That actually brought up some interesting responses, and Tony Stewart took advantage of it to take cheeky digs at his rivals.

He said, “Um… I’m not gonna go as one of the Busch brothers. Not because I don’t like them. It’s cause I’m not sure if it is a popular [decision]…… I’d probably pick one of the beer sponsor drivers. At least I’d have something that would match my cans so. That’s the only thing I can think of right off hand. I’ve never been to a Halloween party yet, that we haven’t enjoyed at all. Beverages during the evening, so at least it would match.”
How did Tony Stewart perform in the race?
The driver was speaking ahead of that year’s NASCAR Cup race at the Martinsville Speedway. As it turned out, the race itself was kicking off, a day before Halloween, so the drivers were excited.

When the dust finally settled, it was Stewart who emerged victorious, ahead of Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon. Stewart started the race in 4th place, while Johnson was 7th and Gordon was 10th.

Speaking of Gordon, he was one of the drivers who spoke about his Halloween costumes. To say that the #24 driver stole the show, would be an understatement. His explanation was so innuendo-filled, that there was not a single straight face in the press conference room.

In fact, everyone was guffawing away, and even he had to break character and chuckle. However, when the race ended, it was Tony Stewart who had the last laugh, and he even went on to win the title.
