It was an exciting revelation for NASCAR fanatics as it saw Caruth and Ryan Ellis use paint schemes from the 2000s. The reason behind this was to honor Adam Petty and John Andretti respectively. While Andretti lost his life at the age of 56, Petty was only 19 years old when he succumbed to a basilar skull fracture from a crash in the practice race of the 2000 Busch 200.

While Adam hoped to walk down his father Kyle Petty and grandfather Richard Petty, his untimely death stunned the NASCAR world back then. It was a grave loss for the sport and more so because of the fashion in which it happened.
