Kyle Larson has come a long way after being fired from Chip Ganassi Racing and indefinitely suspended by NASCAR in 2020. Signed by Hendrick Motorsports in 2021, Larson won his first Cup Series championship driving the #5 Chevy. A gifted driver, Kyle Larson has earned the nickname ‘Yung Money’ for his prowess in different racing series. Competing part-time in the Xfinity Series and Craftsman Truck Series, Larson also has been highly successful in the 410 Sprint Cars.

Staying true to his name, ‘Yung Money’ has won several titles in dirt racing at the Kings Royal, Knoxville Nationals, and the Chili Bowl Nationals. Seeing the career driver has had, FloRacing recently posted a documentary series on Kyle Larson on YouTube, touching on the 2020 controversy and his participation at the 39th Kings Royal sprint car race.

Winner of the prestigious 2021 NASCAR Cup Series, Kyle Larson was crowned king at the 37th Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway. This was also King Kyle XXXVII’s 22nd career win at the World of Outlaws Feature. ‘Yung Money’ returned to Eldora in 2022, driving the #57 for Silva Motorsports. Fending off the race leaders, Larson delivered an enthralling performance. It looked like Kyle Larson would be successful in defending his crown for a while, but disaster struck during the final laps as the car stalled out.

Larson finished in 5th, losing his crown to race winner Brent Marks. Bagging the $175,000 cheque at the Kings Royal, Marks also won the $100,000 Historical Big One earlier that week.

A disheartened Larson spoke to FloRacing post the 39th Kings Royal, “Once it got like shiny slick and could run the fence and run the middle in three and four and do some different things, I really was able to go forward.”

“There for a moment, you know, I thought we were gonna have a really good shot to win.”

“I didn’t realize Brent Marks was like checked out. I was making ground on cars with a few laps and it like stalled out and I should have got up. The 19 was probably checked out before the caution, but we were coming,”

Be it the indefinite suspension from NASCAR or the failure to defend his crown at Kings Royal, FloRacing’s documentary has proved Kyle Larson’s lionhearted stance in the face of adversity. Commenting on the documentary, fans had a lot to say about their young hero.
