When Bubba Wallace intentionally wrecked and followed that by shoving Kyle Larson in Las Vegas, his ‘hater base’, which seemingly couldn’t have become bigger, became so. Post Vegas, the 23XI Racing driver received a one-race suspension.

And upon his return to Martinsville, he was, as many predicted, met with deafening boos.

However, there was one driver who competed against Wallace in the number of boos he got as well. That driver happened to be his current 23XI teammate, Ty Gibbs, who also seems to be on a mission to be NASCAR’s No.1 most hated driver.

All of this led to a lot of reactions from the fans who suggested the same, that Ty Gibbs is coming for the unfortunate place and crown Bubba Wallace has in the sport.

“Ty Gibbs gained some ground on him this past weekend,” one fan wrote while another claimed, “Simply Put: The NASCAR Colin Kaepernick!!! Definitely a “race” card driver!!”

There were a couple more reactions that echoed the same feeling, “Ty Gibbs is right up there!”, and “He is the Colin Kaepernick of NASCAR.”

Another fan had this to say, “Didn’t think anyone could be more disliked than Kyle Bush but somehow Bubba went and did it.”

MJ and 23XI “very, very supportive” of Bubba Wallace

Speaking about supporting the #23 driver of his NASCAR venture, 23XI Racing’s co-owner, Michael Jordan had once emphasized on how, despite everything being in Bubba Wallace’s control, they’re going to be there for him no matter what.

“It’s all on him, but in actuality, it isn’t,” Jordan said. “We are very, very supportive, we’re going to be there for him when he makes a mistake, when he succeeds. We’re going to go down as a team, and we’re going to win as a team. I can understand his mentality, and that’s good. I used to say that as well.”

In fact, MJ had claimed that he never wanted his driver “to feel that he’s alone.”

Naturally, the driver himself admitted that following his move to 23XI, he would also have “no more excuses.”

“Everything, just like Michael Jordan said, everything is ultimately up to me. And that’s what I live off of, when it’s in my court and it’s in my control,” Wallace described.
