Martin Truex Jr., the talented NASCAR driver, has bounced back in impressive fashion this season by securing two victories, one at Dover Speedway and second at Sonoma after enduring a winless previous season.
Following his fourth career victory at Wine Country, he has now secured the position of the second most successful winner at Sonoma, just behind the legendary Jeff Gordon. Despite a winless season last year, he has made an impressive comeback and is currently dominating the competition. In a recent interview, he expressed how he feels about winning this year compared to being winless last season.

Joe Gibbs admitted that they were unable to give Truex the car that is capable of winning last season. After One year and Toyota improvements later, Truex roared right back to victory lane in wine country.
In a recent interview with NASCAR, he revealed how everyone bombarded a question to Truex: “You know, I mean, I got that question a lot last year because we didn’t win.”
Truex said in the interview, “We should have won bunch of races last year, even though our cars weren’t probably the best cars in the field. Toyota as a group probably was off. I still feel like we should have won five or six races.”

“And, we did think we made mistakes. We had some bad luck. We had some crazy things happen, and that’s just racing. But I don’t think any of us ever got down. That’s why my team are all the same, still right now, and we never gave up believing in each other,” Truex Jr concluded.

As their confidence was sky high, he believed in himself even after a long winless season that he can still win. He said, “I knew I can navigate around this track. Maybe I’m not the best driver on this track. I don’t know. Maybe somebody else could go a tenth of a second faster in my car than I do. I doubt they could, but it’s possible. But they’re not going to be a second off like we were last year.”
