Tony Stewart is busier than ever these days. His racing days may have become a distant memory but life still revolves around NASCAR for him. One can easily guess that being the co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing is no lean task. But there’s more to his life than just fast cars.
The “Smoke” knows how to win the Cup Series from inside and outside the car. However, his latest recreation is something at which he needs to work more. His wife Leah Pruett, on the other hand, has the upper hand over the new hobby. To Stewart’s credit though, this sport is on a whole new ‘surface’.

Tony Stewart made an appearance on the NASCAR Race Hub’s latest episode on Fox Sports. He talked highly of Kyle Larson and the HMS driver’s ability to deliver when under pressure. But the light moment of the day came when viewers watched a clip of Stewart wake surfing at Lake Havasu in Arizona. Unsurprisingly, the hosts had plenty of things to ask about Stewart’s new found adventure.
Shannon Spake was curious to know how long Stewart had been practicing the aquatic sport. To this, he replied, “I had never even attempted until I met Leah. I guess we are on year three now of this.” But has the experience resulted in the 52-year-old doing tricks on water?

The man from Indiana was asked if he could do a 360-degree spin. Stewart deflected the question away saying, “My trick is to start on the swim deck, go out, surf, curve around a little bit, and then come back on the swim deck before I fall down and not get wet above my knees.” It seems fans of Stewart would have to wait much longer to see him doing a full turn on water. Tony Stewart had even more in store for the show’s hosts.

Tony Stewart’s modest confession about his wake surfing skills gave Race Hub’s hosts an idea. Stewart was dared to do a 360 and he didn’t back out either. Although, he laid down one caveat. “I accept the challenge and we’re going to do this… It has to be recorded though. It has to be on video or it didn’t happen,” he said. How we would love to see the footage of that splashdown.

Towards the end, Tony Stewart also had kind words to say about Bobby Labonte. Stewart missed “his unofficial big brother” on the episode.
