Way before Bubba Wallace was the star driver of a NASCAR team owned by Michael Jordan, he was driving in the Truck Series. But even then, he had a superstar owner with more than a decent team alongside him.

This was Kyle Busch Motorsports back in 2012 and 2014, who Wallace ran in the Truck Series for, who he recently thanked as they headed to a new future, away from Toyota.

In a couple more days, Kyle Busch would leave Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota for Richard Childress Racing and Chevrolet, forcing his Truck team to also switch to a different manufacturer.

Ahead of their penultimate race with their soon-to-be ex-manufacturer, KBM posted a tweet expressing their thankfulness along with the stats they achieved together.

And it was on this tweet, Wallace replied simply with, “🙋🏾‍♂️.”

23XI will “go down” supporting Bubba Wallace, co-owner Michael Jordan had emphasized

Speaking about supporting Bubba Wallace back when he formed the 23XI Racing team with Denny Hamlin in 2020, co-owner Michael Jordan emphasized on how despite everything being in Wallace’s control, they’re going to be there for him no matter what.

“It’s all on him, but in actuality, it isn’t,” Jordan said. “We are very, very supportive, we’re going to be there for him when he makes a mistake, when he succeeds. We’re going to go down as a team, and we’re going to win as a team. I can understand his mentality, and that’s good. I used to say that as well.”

“Everything, just like Michael Jordan said, everything is ultimately up to me. And that’s what I live off of, when it’s in my court and it’s in my control,” Wallace described.
