Earlier this year, 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace appeared in an interview with EurWeb. One of the questions pertained to his team owner, Michael Jordan. As a former athlete, the NBA legend knows a thing or two about high-stakes competition, and was hugely successful. Of course, there were times in his career when things were not in his favor.

As a result, he talked to Wallace about the subject of ‘bad luck’ during races. Wallace said, “When we were talking about having bad luck at a race he said, ‘there’s no such thing as bad luck you create your own luck’ and I was like iright I’ll never speak of bad luck again.”

How has Bubba Wallace performed in the 2022 season?
If we’re being honest, the driver has performed fairly respectably this year. In fact, he even bagged a second career win, this time at the Kansas Speedway. Admittedly some critics could dispute that his maiden win at Talladega in 2021 was because of rain. However, there were no such interruptions at Kansas, so he pretty much deserved the victory.
Aside from that victory, he even turned in some consistent Top 10 performances over the course of the season. Sadly, he missed out on a Playoff spot and ultimately finished the year in 19th place. It it worth mentioning though, that he took over Kurt Busch’s #45 car when the latter was out of action with a concussion.

Since Busch had qualified for the Playoffs, the #45 car was still eligible for the teams’ title fight. So Wallace was roped in to try and secure as many Playoff points to help the championship battle. Now, the driver will be looking ahead to the 2023 NASCAR Cup season and another chance to improve on his position. This time, his target will be to reach the Playoffs for the first time in his career.
