After long months of struggle, NASCAR and the rebellious teams have come to peace. A huge controversy that had divided NASCAR into two parts has come to some agreement.
You know the recent developments in the NASCAR Lawsuit case. But the breaking news is that Michael Jordan’s rebellion has finally paid off. Yes, NASCAR has surrendered to the demands of 23XI and Front Row Motorsports after a long-running lawsuit.

According to a recent update by Bob Pockrass on X, “BREAKING: 23XI and Front Row Motorsports have obtained the preliminary injunction to race as chartered teams in 2025 as well as for approval of the SHR transfers.”
This bombshell comes right after Stewart-Haas Racing’s Joe Custer’s major revelation. Custer asserted that NASCAR failed to fulfill its promise of transferring Tony Stewart and Gene Haas-owned charters to 23XI Racing. As rumored, the three charters from Tony Stewart’s NASCAR exit were believed to be worth about $25 million each. With $50 million at stake, this news comes as a relief for many.
Denny Hamlin also jumped in joy as he was quick to post on X, “YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!”

Additionally, in Joe Custer’s words targeting NASCAR’s betrayal, “NASCAR officials conveyed to me on more than one occasion that once the Buyers submitted their Transfer Approval Forms and signed their respective Joinder Agreements, NASCAR would promptly provide the necessary approvals to transfer the Charter Agreements to the Buyers,”
Despite 23XI and FRM claiming a major victory in their stand against NASCAR, the lawsuit hasn’t come to an end. Further updates from the legal feud will be awaited in the coming days as it remains to be seen if NASCAR accepts the drastic steps proposed by Michael Jordan’s camp. Away from all the noise, the Chicago Bulls legend’s brand Air Jordan, recently hosted the Jumpman Invitational tournament, where an apparent subtle dig was thrown at NASCAR by 23XI Racing.
How Michael Jordan rubbed salt on NASCAR’s wounds in Charlotte?
At the Jumpman Invitational, several college basketball matches took the limelight. However, one major event that went under everyone’s radar was 23XI’s exhibition car being flaunted without the NASCAR trademark. With the NASCAR and 23XI locked in a legal battle, this was seen as hidden dig by MJ’s team. Having competed for the championship this year, 23XI has grown massively in stature, attracting more eyes on them as a result.

However, this didn’t come as a surprise to many, especially after NASCAR’s past actions. Earlier this year, NASCAR flaunted Joey Logano’s third championship victory with an image of him showing off monopoly cards. With Denny Hamlin’s team accusing NASCAR of being a ‘monopolistic’ institution, this came off as well-planned jab by the sport’s governors.
Hamlin even reacted to it with a firm response, commenting, “Monopoly cards. Perfect.”
