The excitement seems to run high among NASCAR enthusiasts as the first playoff round comes to a culmination. With three different winners, the playoffs could not be more unpredictable yet nail-biting in nature. The drivers were ready to lock horns with their fellow drivers yet not budge from their intention of scoring a win remaining above the cutline and sparing themselves from being eliminated. However, in the current season which has been replete with unanticipated outcomes, it was 23XI Racing that was leading the forefront of carving its own success story.

While established teams of NASCAR failed to park all their drivers in the post-season, Michael Jordan’s team although in its nascent stage, witnessed both of its drivers not only entering the playoffs but also advance in the Round of 12.

However, it is here where things become daunting for the drivers, especially Jordan’s emerging star driver Tyler Reddick. Entering the Round of 12 for the first team, will he be able to qualify and notch a spot in the Round of 8?

Michael Jordan’s prodigy sees an upward rise ahead of Texas

If one remembers clearly, the playoff race at Kansas, 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick was able to take advantage in a late caution in a race that was initially led by his team boss Denny Hamlin. However, through his impeccable dexterity and strategic planning, he was able to seize his second victory of the season. Reddick out-maneuvered a three-wide field and punched his ticket into the Round of 12 for the first time in his Cup Series career.

In his post-race interview, Reddick expressed, “I know that definitely talking with them, he was, I think, better than I was at the end of the race. It’s just circumstances played out in a way to where I was able to get a better restart. But certainly, it is fun to beat the boss.

Riding high on the waves of success, Tyler Reddick could not be more pumped up than this, especially entering a track that has helped him taste victory for the third time in 2022. He was able to fend off Team Penske’s Joey Logano and also avert the on-track incidents that the track was replete with.

Owing to this, Reddick seems to occupy a favorable position for the race on Sunday, as Toyota’s dominance on speedways and his race-winning momentum harbors a fair chance of winning the race on Sunday.

However, it is not just Toyota’s Tyler Reddick who has the probability of notching a victory but also Reddick’s team boss and Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin who also occupies the chances of winning in Texas on Sunday.

His past outings on the track have not been a favorable one, as he has struggled to find traction on the track. It has always been marked with ups and downs and his best finish on the track in the last five has not been higher than the ninth position.

However, given the present momentum of the co-owner of 23XI Racing, he seems to be another favorite for Sunday as well as the championship contention. Fresh out of the victory land in Bristol, Hamlin would surely try to repeat the same feat on Sunday.
