Denny Hamlin is perhaps one of the few athletes in the arena of NASCAR who is extremely competitive both as a driver and a team owner. Besides his ‘i-am-not-here-to-make-friends’ attitude, Michael Jordan‘s partner has elevated his team to commendable heights in just a few years, so much so that both their drivers could qualify for the 2023 playoffs. However, the expectations from one of those two are higher than the other.
Tyler Reddick’s strategic win at Kansas Speedway drew the attention of many and instilled hopes into the minds of 23XI supporters that when winning is the need of the hour, this 27-year-old speedster will not play around. Even if he has to corner his teammate and get into his bad books, Reddick seems to follow the footsteps of his boss to the victory lane. On that note, a NASCAR Hall of Famer stood out with his assertive claims about Michael Jordan’s prot?g?, days before the closing race of the round of 12.

Entering the final race of this round 9th in the driver’s standings and just 2 points behind RFK Racing owner Brad Keselowski, Tyler Reddick has been heaving up quite some excitement with his previous records of success runs at NASCAR’s road courses.
Three of the five wins that he has in his career come from road courses. Looking at Charlotte Motor Speedway, he has two top-10 finishes in his three starts made at the ROVAL. Moreover, the Monster Energy driver has averaged 33.3 points per race at the 1.5-mile racetrack.
Veteran NASCAR ex-driver Dale Jarrett reiterated the odds that go in favor of the California native. In a three-way conversation with NBC analyst Nate Ryan and media personality Kim Coon, the 66-year-old said, “His (Reddick’s) races on the road courses have been phenomenal. I believe that this could be him winning and advancing himself there. If he doesn’t do that, I think he has just such a solid day.”
Reddick made quite a name with his ingenious strategy to get a 4-tire change at Kansas, which ultimately gave him the edge over Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson during the last few laps. Jarrett however, cut to the chase and admitted, “I’m not Steve Letarte, and can’t tell you all the strategies that may play out but I really think that this driver and this team will be fast enough to dictate how they want to run the race and whether garnering enough points to move their way through or do they just win and get themselves in.”

Nate Ryan said, “Bubba Wallace has improved on road courses but I still feel like he’s a 10th to 15th place driver at his best at the ROVAL and I don’t think that’s gonna get him through.”
After finishing 23rd in the last race at Talladega Superspeedway, Bubba Wallace called Charlotte “Just another race.”
“Just another race to go out and execute,” Bubba said, “Keep all four fenders, all four tires on the racetrack and see what happens.”
