Jordan Bianchi, a seasoned NASCAR insider, delves into the intricacies of 23XI Racing‘s contractual future. Following the discussions and negotiations behind the scenes, the consensus seems to lean towards continuity. Bianchi suggests that it is “highly likely” that Michael Jordan and his team will extend their relationship with Toyota. The puzzle pieces, though complex, seem to be fitting together, pointing towards a lasting partnership.

When asked to shed light on 23XI’s future during a conversation with Jeff Gluck, Bianchi explained. “I think this is part of the negotiating process. And this has been a much longer protracted negotiating process than anybody thought. Everybody involved thought this was going to be settled much sooner… Part of it is that Denny and 23XI and everybody over there. They’re trying to figure out where they fit and everything. But they have certain things they want from Toyota, you know, and it’s back and forth.”

“I would say it’s confident, highly likely, that 23XI and Denny Hamlin stay with Toyota… It seems like all parties involved want to make this happen,” he added. “Steve Lauletta, the President of 23XI, today I asked him ‘Hey are you gonna be a Toyota next year?’ and he’s like yeah. ‘I don’t see no changes that I know of’. And David Wilson, TRD’s President, said, you know we think they’re going to be back and we’re kind of, you know, we’re happy with things and this is part of the process.”

“I think at the end of the day, 23XI is a very valued property for Toyota. And I think frankly, if you look at the landscape, it doesn’t make sense for 23XI to go anywhere else,” Bianchi concluded.
