Apart from being one of the greatest NBA athletes of all time, Michael Jordan is a smart businessman. One of his biggest brands is Air Jordan, which has earned him a huge amount of money over the years. The brand may be well reputed around the world, but that’s no reason to stop advertising it. That is exactly what the 23XI Racing owner has done to his sole playoff car ahead of the round of 8 of the 2023 Cup Series. The Retro Jordan 8 paint scheme will go on Tyler Reddick’s #45 and fans have gone absolutely wild over the design!

Tyler Reddick remains the only driver from Michael Jordan’s team in the playoffs. The 27-year-old finished P6 at the Charlotte Roval after starting from pole position. It was enough to get him the points necessary to make it into the round of 8. The driver of the #45 now has three races to qualify for the championship round. It seems like a tall order but Reddick is no stranger to pulling off an upset.

He might have been given the new paint scheme since he is the only 23XI Racing driver in the playoffs, but the #45 has been adorned with new colors quite a number of times this year. In Charlotte earlier this season, Tyler Reddick’s car donned the light blue of the North Carolina Tar Heels. The #45 also had the Jumpman logo on its hood and the sides.

Ahead of the Pocono race in July, the #45 sported a scheme inspired by the limited-edition Air Jordan 2 “H” WINGS shoe. The Toyota Camry was adorned in green and white with an M AIR J license plate and Michael Jordan’s signature Jumpman logo.

But the paint scheme that Tyler Reddick’s car will have for the first race of the round of 8 is perhaps the most striking. The Retro Jordan 8 scheme for the round of 8 will see the #45 carrying a lot of colors over a black body. As per, the Jumpman logo will be on the hood and the sides.

As soon as the Twitter handle of 23XI Racing shared the image of the #45 with the paint scheme, fans went absolutely ballistic. Almost everyone was captivated by the beauty of the design. It is truly a paint scheme fitting for a race in Las Vegas and fans cannot wait to see it out on track.

Fans were in unison that Tyler Reddick’s paint schemes this season have been the best out of the lot. He might not have the fastest car on track but he certainly has the best looking one.

“reddick hands down has had the best schemes this year… it’s not even a competition,” a fan wrote.

“Y’all are absolutely killing it with these Jordan schemes,” commented another.

One of the most striking details about the Retro Jordan 8 scheme is its color combination. The black base paint smeared with a variety of colors has made it an eye-catching combination. A fan who will be attending the race said that they won’t have any trouble finding the #45 on track.

“Well I definitely won’t miss it in the stands being 60 rows up lol.”

And of course, there were some Bubba Wallace fans as well who wanted the #23 to also be adorned with such vibrant colors as his teammate’s car.

“Why can’t we get these good a** schemes on the 23 (not saying jordan i just mean in general)”
