After last year’s storm, 2023 at Richard Childress Racing seems like a respite for Kyle Busch. Having performed well consistently in all 2023 Cup Series races to date, last Sunday, Busch even managed to register his first win of the season. However, as Dale Earnhardt Jr points out, it’s an X-factor at Richard Childress Racing that helped him attain it all.
In a recent episode of Dale Jr Download, Dale Earnhardt Jr revealed that Kyle Busch’s current crew chief Randall Burnett is the X-factor behind the #8’s success for the second consecutive season.
Revealing that he was surprised to see Burnett not following Tyler Reddick to Michael Jordan’s 23XI Racing, he said, “His crew chief, Randall Burnett, I was so surprised that he didn’t go with Reddick when Reddick went to 23XI.”
