Restrictor plate racing is at its finest when at Talladega Superspeedway. Over the years, some amazing racers have shown their dominance at NASCAR’s longest oval track. However, one of the latest polls has revealed divided opinions concerning the best drivers to have won at Dega. Interestingly, both Dale Earnhardt Jr and Brad Keselowski have their valuable inputs on the poll.

Both Keselowski and Dale Jr know how it feels to win at Talladega. Having done it multiple times in their career, they couldn’t resist but take part in one of the most debated polls recently.

It is no secret how the Earnhardts have more than enjoyed restrictor plate racing. Especially at Talladega, they have excelled in the best possible fashion. That being said, Dale Earnhardt Sr remains the King of Dega with 10 wins to his name—the most by any driver in the NASCAR Cup Series.

His son and the fan-favorite Dale Earnhardt Jr followed his dad’s footsteps and has secured six wins at Talladega. Interestingly, he holds the record for most consecutive wins at this track with four victories to his name. What’s more fascinating is Junior is not the only one with six wins at this venue.

He is accompanied by Hendrick Motorsports Vice Chairman Jeff Gordon and 2012 Cup Series champions Brad Keselowski. Both these drivers have enjoyed their spell at Talladega and with Keselowski still actively racing, he has the chance to secure the second-most number of wins on Sunday.

However, winning it multiple times is one thing. From fans’ perspective, it is always more subjective as fans tend to measure a driver’s worth at a track not just from the number of wins but also other aspects such as the quality of other drivers and cars. Interestingly, NASCAR took a poll on Twitter pitting Dale Sr, Dale Jr, Gordon, and Keselowski against one another. The poll asked the users to vote for the winner among the four, considering that all of them in their prime raced the same type of car.

Two-time Daytona 500 winner Dale Jr, being the active social media personality he is, pounced on the opportunity with his opinion and it was a hilarious one. He said, “NASCAR take my money ’cause I’m wrecking Brad and Jeff intentionally. Huge Earnhardt fan there.”

Well, it would have certainly been very interesting to see how this race would have fared had both Junior and Dale Sr raced together. Surprisingly, even Keselowski was involved with a witty reply to this poll.
