NASCAR World Shower Praises as Trackhouse Racing Star Fulfills His American Dream

Daniel Suarez, the first Mexican-born driver to win a Cup Series in 2022, is now ready to add another milestone to his resume: He is on the cusp of becoming an official US Citizen. Suarez is one of the only full-time competitors hailing from outside of the United States in NASCAR. He started his racing full-time in the US in 2010, and till now he has plenty of accolades in his name, including the recent Cup Series victory at Atlanta Motor Speedway. While that was a quite an achievement, currently what has occupied Suarez’s mind is the recent ‘exam’ he passed!

This  #99 for Trackhouse Racing driver took to Instagram to show his thanks to his supporters. He said, “As you guys know, I took the citizenship exam and I passed. So that way is great. It was interesting actually, having an exam. I’ve been out of school a long time. Having an exam, a verbal exam, it was a little interesting. This was the first time I had to study for an exam for a long time.”

He also went on to thank his fans who sent their best wishes to ace his citizenship exam and who have always supported his career trajectory. He said, “Obviously, this country has given me so much, and to now be doing the next step in my life is quite special. I’m from Mexico and I will always be very, very proud of my country. But the United States over the last 12 years has given me so much, and I felt like it was the right time to make that step. I just wanted to thank everyone for all your messages, and all your support, and looking forward to being a dual citizen very soon.”

While he still has to wait for his official swearing-in, we are sure he can make it happen! Meanwhile, fans were also seen flocking over to his post, showering their warm wishes.
