Sanctioned by Championship Auto Racing Series, CARS Tour races are held in North and South Carolina, and Virginia. The races are packed to the brim with fans who attend to watch their local heroes battle it out in their Late Model Stock cars.

What can only be described as every racing fan’s ‘wet dream’, the CARS Tour at Dominion Raceway saw Bobby McCarty break his two-year-long winless streak. During the final laps of the race, Bobby McCarthy traded paint with Brenden Queen, driving side by side for many laps. While the race leaders bounced off of each other, McCarthy bagged the win, finishing just 0.009 seconds ahead of Queen. Mini Tyrrell finished in the 3rd position with Series leader Carson Kvapil finishing in 4th.

Bobby McCarthy’s last late model win was in October 2021. Overwhelmed by his win, an ecstatic McCarty opened up about his experience in a post-race interview. “It means I ain’t over yet. I’m not done. I can still get the job done. This team is more than capable of it. We have really great people. I think of a lot of stuff in my mind and for whatever reason it never plays out, but it does on the race track. I could see (Queen) was running (Kvapil) up. I had a really good run coming out of two. I knew if I was going to do it I had to do it out of two. They gave me just enough room to make it work” said Bobby McCarthy.
